Inspiration for planning a wedding in Rome
We chose to get married in a Catholic church, but Rome also has many beautiful Protestant churches, where you can get married.
We spent 1 year in planning our wedding and it was a little more demanding (more paperwork) than a Danish wedding, but it was really worth it!
Getting married in a city hall is also an option and it is far less demanding (paperwork wise), than a church wedding and an Italian city hall looks more beautifull than most "normal" churches that we know from back home.
Our wedding was our joint project and although it sometimes has been a challenge, we would not (for anything in the world) have done without. This project has only brought us even closer together.
We chose to follow our dreams and intuition, and it resulted in that we had our dream wedding.
Now we are planning a wedding reception and blessing of the Catholic Church for the summer on Saturday 6 August 2011, for all of those love ones who could not be with us in Rome.
